How to Draw a Cartoon Train268
Cartoon trains are a fun and easy subject to draw, and they're a great way to practice your basic drawing skills. In this tutorial, I'll show you how to draw a simple cartoon train step-by-step. Once you've mastered the basics, you can add your own details and embellishments to create a unique train of your own.
Materials You'll Need:
* Pencil
* Paper
* Eraser (optional)
Step 1: Draw the Base of the Train
Start by drawing a long, horizontal line for the base of the train. This line should be about three times as long as it is tall.
Step 2: Add the Wheels
Draw two circles on the bottom of the train for the wheels. The wheels should be about the same size, and they should be spaced evenly apart.
Step 3: Draw the Boiler
Draw a rectangle on the top of the train for the boiler. The boiler should be about twice as long as it is tall, and it should be centered on the train's base.
Step 4: Add the Smoke Stack
Draw a small rectangle on top of the boiler for the smoke stack. The smoke stack should be about half the height of the boiler, and it should be centered on the top of the boiler.
Step 5: Add the Cowcatcher
Draw a small triangle on the front of the train for the cowcatcher. The cowcatcher should be about the same size as the wheels, and it should be centered on the front of the train.
Step 6: Add the Headlights
Draw two small circles on the front of the train for the headlights. The headlights should be about the same size, and they should be spaced evenly apart.
Step 7: Add the Details
Now it's time to add some details to your train. You can add windows, doors, or any other details you like. I've added some simple lines to the boiler to represent the rivets, and I've added a few squares to the wheels to represent the spokes.
Step 8: Color Your Train
Once you're happy with your drawing, it's time to color it in. You can use any colors you like, but I've chosen to use a classic red, white, and blue color scheme.
Here are some additional tips for drawing cartoon trains:
* Use simple shapes to create the basic form of the train.
* Exaggerate the features of the train to make it more cartoonish.
* Add details to the train to make it more interesting.
* Color the train in bright, vibrant colors.
With a little practice, you'll be able to draw cartoon trains like a pro. So get out your pencils and paper and start drawing!
