Materials:
* Worsted weight yarn in two colors (one for the box and one for the lid)
* 4mm crochet hook
* Music box mechanism
* Scissors

Abbreviations:
* ch = chain
* sc = single crochet
* hdc = half double crochet
* dc = double crochet
* tr = treble crochet
* sl st = slip stitch
Instructions:
Base of the Box:
1. With the main color yarn, ch 24.
2. Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (23 sc)
3. Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc across. (23 sc)
4. Repeat row 3 until the piece measures 4" square.
Sides of the Box:
1. Ch 1, turn. Sc around the edge of the base, working 3 sc in each corner. (92 sc)
2. Ch 1, turn. Sc in each sc around. (92 sc)
3. Repeat row 2 until the sides of the box measure 2" high.
Lid of the Box:
1. With the contrasting color yarn, ch 24.
2. Sc in the second ch from the hook and in each ch across. (23 sc)

Assembly:
