A file management system (FMS) is a software program that provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for managing files and folders on a computer. FMSs typically include features such as drag-and-drop file management, file searching, file compression, and file sharing. One of the most popular FMSs is Windows Explorer, which is included with all versions of Microsoft Windows.

In this video tutorial, we will show you how to use Windows Explorer to perform basic file management tasks, such as creating, deleting, and moving files and folders. We will also show you how to use Windows Explorer's search features to find files on your computer. Finally, we will show you how to use Windows Explorer to compress and share files.

Creating a New File
Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the folder where you want to create the new file.
Click on the "New" button in the toolbar.
Select the type of file you want to create from the drop-down menu.
Enter a name for the new file in the "File name" field.
Click on the "Create" button.

Deleting a File
Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the folder where the file you want to delete is located.
Select the file you want to delete.
Click on the "Delete" button in the toolbar.
Click on the "Yes" button in the confirmation dialog box.

Moving a File
Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the folder where the file you want to move is located.
Select the file you want to move.
Drag and drop the file to the new folder.

Searching for a File
Open Windows Explorer.
Click on the "Search" box in the toolbar.
Enter the name of the file you are looking for in the "Search" box.
Click on the "Enter" key.

Compressing a File
Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the folder where the file you want to compress is located.
Select the file you want to compress.
Right-click on the file and select "Send to" from the context menu.
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" from the "Send to" menu.

Sharing a File
Open Windows Explorer.
Navigate to the folder where the file you want to share is located.
Right-click on the file and select "Share" from the context menu.
Select the method you want to use to share the file from the "Share" menu.
