E-commerce Smartphone Mockup Tutorial371
In this tutorial, we'll show you how to create an e-commerce smartphone mockup using Adobe Photoshop. This is a great way to showcase your smartphone designs or apps in a realistic way, and it's perfect for use on websites, social media, or even print advertising.
What You'll Need* Adobe Photoshop (or a similar image editing program)
* A smartphone image
* A product image (optional)
* A background image (optional)
Step 1: Open Your Smartphone Image
Start by opening the smartphone image you want to use in Photoshop. You can do this by going to File > Open and selecting the image from your computer.
Step 2: Create a New Layer
Next, create a new layer by clicking on the "Create a new layer" icon in the Layers panel. This will create a new layer above the smartphone image layer.
Step 3: Add Your Product Image (Optional)
If you want to add a product image to your mockup, open the product image in Photoshop and copy it onto the new layer you created in Step 2. You can do this by pressing Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (Mac) to copy the product image, and then pressing Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac) to paste it onto the new layer.
Step 4: Resize and Position Your Product Image
Once you've pasted your product image onto the new layer, you can resize and position it using the Transform tool. To do this, select the product image layer in the Layers panel and then click on the "Edit" > "Transform" > "Scale" menu. You can then drag the handles on the corners of the product image to resize it. To move the product image, simply click on it and drag it to the desired location.
Step 5: Add a Background Image (Optional)
If you want to add a background image to your mockup, open the background image in Photoshop and copy it onto the bottom layer in the Layers panel. You can do this by pressing Ctrl+C (Windows) or Cmd+C (Mac) to copy the background image, and then pressing Ctrl+V (Windows) or Cmd+V (Mac) to paste it onto the bottom layer.
Step 6: Adjust the Lighting and Contrast
Once you've added all of your images to the mockup, you can adjust the lighting and contrast to make it look more realistic. To do this, go to the "Image" > "Adjustments" menu and select the "Brightness/Contrast" option. You can then adjust the brightness and contrast sliders to achieve the desired look.
Step 7: Save Your Mockup
Once you're happy with the way your mockup looks, you can save it by going to the "File" > "Save" menu. You can choose to save your mockup as a PSD file (which will preserve all of the layers), or as a JPEG file (which will create a flattened image). JPEG files are smaller in size than PSD files, but they do not support layers.
That's it! You've now created a realistic e-commerce smartphone mockup using Adobe Photoshop.
