2. Types of Mental Health Problems (10 minutes)There are many different types of mental health problems. Some common mental health problems include:
* Anxiety
* Depression
* Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
* Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Explain each of these mental health problems to students in a way that they can understand. For example, you could say that anxiety is like feeling scared or nervous all the time, even when there is no danger. You could say that depression is like feeling sad or hopeless all the time, even when there is no reason to feel that way.
3. Importance of Mental Health (5 minutes)It is important to take care of our mental health just as we take care of our physical health. When we take care of our mental health, we are better able to learn, make friends, and cope with stress.
