Procedure

1. Introduction (10 minutes)


Begin by asking students what they know about mental health. Encourage them to share their thoughts and ideas.

Explain that mental health refers to our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It's just as important as physical health.

2. Common Mental Health Issues (15 minutes)


Discuss common mental health issues that children may experience, such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

Explain the symptoms of each issue and how they can affect a person's life.

3. Promoting Mental Health (10 minutes)


Lead a discussion on strategies for promoting mental health, such as:
Getting enough sleep
Eating healthy foods
Exercising regularly
Spending time with friends and family
Practicing relaxation techniques

4. Seeking Help (10 minutes)


Explain that it's okay to ask for help if you're struggling with mental health issues.

Provide students with a list of resources, such as school counselors, therapists, and crisis hotlines.

5. Activity: Mental Health Bingo (10 minutes)


Create a bingo card with terms related to mental health, such as "anxiety," "depression," "coping strategies," and "help-seeking."
