Mental health is just as important as physical health, especially for children. Mental health issues can affect a child's ability to learn, behave, and interact with others. That's why it's so important to educate children about mental health and to provide them with the tools they need to stay mentally healthy.
This lesson plan will provide you with the resources you need to teach children about mental health. The lesson is designed for children in grades 3-5, but can be adapted for other grade levels.
Objectives
By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

Procedure
Begin by introducing the topic of mental health. Explain to students that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that everyone has mental health. Ask students to share what they know about mental health.

Identify the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues. Discuss the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. Explain that these symptoms can vary from person to person, and that it is important to seek help if you are experiencing any of these symptoms.
