Introduction

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced mental health counselor to join our team at [University Name]. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Counseling Services.

ResponsibilitiesProvide individual and group counseling to students on a wide range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and academic stressAssess students' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plansCollaborate with other professionals, including faculty, staff, and physicians, to provide comprehensive care to studentsProvide crisis intervention and support to students in distressConduct outreach and prevention programs to promote mental health awareness and well-beingSupervise and mentor graduate students in counselingConduct research and stay abreast of best practices in mental health counseling

QualificationsMaster's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institutionLicensed as a Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Psychologist (LP)Minimum of 3 years of experience providing mental health counseling to college studentsStrong understanding of the developmental challenges and mental health needs of college studentsExcellent counseling skills, including empathy, active listening, and cultural sensitivityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills
