Homemade Pancake Maker Tutorial108

Introduction

Pancakes are a breakfast staple that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They're relatively easy to make, but they can be even easier if you have a dedicated pancake maker. In this tutorial, we'll show you how to build your own homemade pancake maker that will make perfectly round, fluffy pancakes every time.

Materials
1/4-inch thick piece of plywood (12 inches x 12 inches)
1/2-inch diameter wooden dowel (12 inches long)
1/4-inch diameter wooden dowel (12 inches long)
1/4-inch diameter metal rod (12 inches long)
2 washers (1/4-inch diameter)
2 nuts (1/4-inch diameter)
Wood glueSandpaperDrillSawScrewdriver wrenchHacksawMeasuring tapePencil

Instructions

Step 1: Cut the plywood

Cut a 12-inch x 12-inch square from the 1/4-inch thick plywood. This will be the base of your pancake maker.

Step 2: Drill holes for the dowels

Drill a 1/2-inch hole in the center of the plywood base. This hole will be used to hold the 1/2-inch diameter wooden dowel. Drill two more 1/4-inch holes, 2 inches from the center hole and 6 inches apart. These holes will be used to hold the 1/4-inch diameter wooden dowels.

Step 3: Insert the dowels

Insert the 1/2-inch diameter wooden dowel into the center hole. Insert the two 1/4-inch diameter wooden dowels into the remaining two holes.

Step 4: Cut the metal rod

Cut the 1/4-inch diameter metal rod into two 6-inch long pieces. These pieces will be used to hold the pancake batter.

Step 5: Bend the metal rods

Bend the two metal rods into a U-shape. The U-shape should be wide enough to fit over the 1/2-inch diameter wooden dowel.

Step 6: Drill holes for the washers and nuts

Drill two 1/4-inch holes in the ends of each metal rod. These holes will be used to hold the washers and nuts.

Step 7: Insert the washers and nuts

Insert a washer into each hole in the metal rods. Then, insert a nut onto each washer and tighten it down.

Step 8: Assemble the pancake maker

Place the two metal rods over the 1/2-inch diameter wooden dowel. The washers and nuts should hold the metal rods in place.

Step 9: Test the pancake maker

To test the pancake maker, pour some pancake batter into the center of the metal rods. The batter should spread out evenly to form a perfect circle. If the batter doesn't spread out evenly, adjust the position of the metal rods until it does.

Congratulations! You've now built your own homemade pancake maker. Enjoy cooking delicious pancakes for your family and friends.
