Piano Basics 101: Home Sweet Home228

If you're like me, you've always dreamed of playing the piano. But the thought of taking lessons and practicing for hours on end can be daunting. That's why I'm excited to share with you an easier way to learn the piano: my Piano Basics 101 series.

In this series, I'm going to teach you everything you need to know to start playing the piano in just 10 lessons. We'll cover basic music theory, finger placement, and how to read sheet music. And best of all, we'll be learning some of your favorite songs along the way.

Lesson 1: Home Sweet Home

For our first lesson, we're going to learn how to play the classic song "Home Sweet Home." This song is a great introduction to the piano because it uses only a few simple chords.

Chords

The three chords we'll be using in this song are C major, G major, and D minor. Here's how to play each chord:

- C major: C, E, G

- G major: G, B, D

- D minor: D, F, A

Finger Placement

When playing chords, it's important to use the correct finger placement. Here's how to position your fingers for each of the three chords:

- C major: 1 on C, 2 on E, 5 on G

- G major: 1 on G, 2 on B, 5 on D

- D minor: 1 on D, 2 on F, 5 on A

Playing the Song

Once you've got the chords and finger placement down, it's time to start playing the song. Here's the sheet music for "Home Sweet Home":
