Easy Piano Lessons, Page 14290

Introduction

Welcome to Page 14 of our easy piano lessons! In this lesson, we will continue to build on the skills you have learned in previous lessons. We will learn about new notes, chords, and rhythms. We will also practice playing some simple songs.

New Notes

In this lesson, we will learn about the notes F and G. F is located on the fourth white key from the left, and G is located on the fifth white key from the left. Play these notes several times until you can identify them easily.

New Chords

We will also learn about two new chords in this lesson: the C chord and the G7 chord. The C chord is played by pressing the C, E, and G keys simultaneously. The G7 chord is played by pressing the G, B, D, and F keys simultaneously. Practice playing these chords until you can change between them smoothly.

New Rhythms

In this lesson, we will learn about two new rhythms: the quarter note and the half note. A quarter note is played for one beat, and a half note is played for two beats. Practice playing these rhythms until you can keep a steady beat.

Simple Songs

Now that we have learned about new notes, chords, and rhythms, we can start to practice playing some simple songs. Here is a simple song that you can try:
C G7
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
C G7
How I wonder what you are!
F C
Up above the world so high,
C G7
Like a diamond in the sky.

Practice playing this song until you can play it smoothly. You can also try to sing along while you play.
