9. Cut the heavy cotton canvas into a 3-yard square.
10. Paint the heavy cotton canvas with fabric paint.
11. Allow the fabric paint to dry.
12. Sew the edges of the heavy cotton canvas together to create a square canopy.
13. Attach the canopy to the frame of the parasol by stapling the edges of the canopy to the 1/4-inch diameter bamboo poles.
14. Allow the parasol to dry completely.
Tips* You can use any type of fabric for the canopy, but heavy cotton canvas is a good choice because it is durable and weather-resistant.
* You can paint the canopy any color you like to match your décor.
* You can add embellishments to the parasol, such as tassels or fringe, to make it more unique.
Troubleshooting* If the parasol is not standing up straight, you may need to adjust the angle of the legs.
* If the canopy is sagging, you may need to add more support to the frame.
* If the parasol is blowing over in the wind, you may need to add a weight to the bottom of the pole.
With a little bit of creativity, you can make a garden parasol that is both stylish and functional. Enjoy your new outdoor space!
