Welcome to Phibel Piano Starter Course 6! In this course, we're going to continue building on the skills you've learned in the previous lessons and expand your knowledge of the piano. We'll cover new notes, chords, and rhythms, and we'll also start learning how to play some simple songs. So get ready to take your piano playing to the next level!
Review of Previous Lessons
Before we start learning new material, let's quickly review what we covered in the previous lessons. In Lesson 1, we learned about the basics of the piano, including the different notes and keys. In Lesson 2, we learned how to play simple melodies. In Lesson 3, we learned how to play chords. And in Lesson 4, we learned how to play rhythms. In Lesson 5, we learned how to play some simple songs.
New Notes
In this lesson, we're going to learn three new notes: C, D, and E. These notes are located on the white keys next to the two black keys. Here's a diagram to help you find them:```

Once you've found the new notes, practice playing them with your right hand. Start by playing each note individually, then try playing them in a row. You can also practice playing them in different rhythms.
New Chords
In this lesson, we're also going to learn two new chords: the C major chord and the G major chord. The C major chord is made up of the notes C, E, and G. The G major chord is made up of the notes G, B, and D.
Here's a diagram to help you find the chords:```

G major: G B D
```
Once you've found the new chords, practice playing them with your left hand. Start by playing each chord individually, then try playing them in a row. You can also practice playing them in different rhythms.
New Rhythms
In this lesson, we're also going to learn two new rhythms: the quarter note and the half note. The quarter note is played for one beat. The half note is played for two beats.

Once you've learned the new rhythms, practice playing them with your right hand. Start by playing each rhythm individually, then try playing them in a row. You can also practice playing them in different combinations.
Putting It All Together
Now that you've learned the new notes, chords, and rhythms, it's time to start putting it all together. In this lesson, we're going to learn how to play a simple song called "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star."
Here's the sheet music for the song:```
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.
Twinkle, twinkle, little star,
How I wonder what you are!
```
To play the song, start by playing the C major chord in your left hand. Then, play the following melody with your right hand:```
G G A A G F# F# E E D D C C
```
Once you've played the melody, repeat the C major chord in your left hand and play the following melody with your right hand:```
G G F# F# E E D D C C
```
That's it! You've now learned how to play "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" on the piano. Congratulations!
