Crochet Twist Beanie Tutorial319

In this tutorial, we'll be walking you through the steps on how to crochet a twist beanie. This beanie is perfect for those cold winter days, and it's also a great way to use up some of your leftover yarn. We'll be using a simple double crochet stitch throughout, so this project is suitable for beginners.

Materials you'll need:Worsted weight yarn (we used Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Berry)
Crochet hook size H/8 (5.00mm)
Yarn needle
Scissors

Instructions:

Row 1: Create a magic ring, then ch 2 and dc in the ring 11 times. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2.

Row 2: Ch 2 and work 2 dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2. You should have 24 stitches.

Row 3: Ch 2 and work a dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2.

Rows 4-24: Repeat Row 3.

Row 25: Ch 2 and work 2 dc in each of the next 12 dc. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2.

Row 26: Ch 2 and work a dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2.

Rows 27-36: Repeat Row 26.

Row 37: Ch 2 and work 2 dc together in each of the next 12 dc. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2.

Row 38: Ch 2 and work a dc in each dc around. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2.

Rows 39-48: Repeat Row 38.

Row 49: Ch 2 and join with a sl st to the top of the ch 2. Cut the yarn and pull through the last loop to fasten off.

To twist the beanie, simply fold it in half lengthwise and twist the two halves together. Then, fold the twisted beanie in half again and sew the two ends together. Your twist beanie is now complete!

Tips:To make a larger or smaller beanie, simply adjust the number of stitches you work in the first row. For a larger beanie, work more stitches in the first row. For a smaller beanie, work fewer stitches in the first row.
You can also use a different type of yarn to make your beanie. We used worsted weight yarn, but you could also use a lighter or heavier weight yarn. Just be sure to adjust the hook size accordingly.
If you're a beginner, don't be afraid to ask for help. There are plenty of online resources and tutorials available, and you can always reach out to a friend or family member who knows how to crochet.
