Ingredients
1 pound ground pork
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 package wonton wrappers
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, onion, green bell pepper, celery, garlic, ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
2. Add the soy sauce and sesame oil to the bowl and mix well.
3. Take a wonton wrapper and place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center. Fold the wrapper in half over the meat mixture, making sure to seal the edges well.
4. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all of the meat mixture and wonton wrappers have been used.
5. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dumplings to the boiling water and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
6. Remove the dumplings from the boiling water and drain on paper towels.
7. Serve the dumplings with your favorite dipping sauce.
Tips
If you don't have wonton wrappers, you can use egg roll wrappers instead. Just be sure to cut them into smaller squares.
You can add other vegetables to the meat mixture, such as carrots, snow peas, or mushrooms.
If you want to make a vegetarian version of these dumplings, you can use tofu instead of ground pork.
These dumplings can be frozen for up to 2 months. Just place them in a freezer-safe bag and freeze.
