This guide will show you how to replace the outer screen on a Goldcell G5 phone. This is a relatively simple repair that can be completed in about 30 minutes.

Tools and Materials:
New Goldcell G5 outer screen
Phillips #00 screwdriver
Plastic opening tool
Heat gun or hair dryer

Instructions:
Power off the phone. This is important for safety reasons.
Remove the back cover. There is a small notch at the bottom of the back cover. Insert the plastic opening tool into the notch and pry up the back cover. Be careful not to damage the back cover.
Disconnect the battery. The battery connector is located at the bottom of the phone. Use the plastic opening tool to gently pry up the battery connector.
Remove the screws. There are four screws that hold the inner frame in place. Remove the screws with the Phillips #00 screwdriver.
Remove the inner frame. Carefully lift up the inner frame and remove it from the phone.
Heat the outer screen. Use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the outer screen. This will soften the adhesive that holds the screen in place.
Pry up the outer screen. Use the plastic opening tool to carefully pry up the outer screen. Be careful not to damage the screen.

Clean the adhesive. Use a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to clean the adhesive from the phone's frame.

Install the new outer screen. Carefully align the new outer screen with the phone's frame and press it into place. Be sure to apply even pressure to the entire screen.
Install the inner frame. Carefully align the inner frame with the phone's body and press it into place. Be sure to apply even pressure to the entire frame.
Install the screws. Replace the four screws that hold the inner frame in place. Be sure to tighten the screws securely.
Connect the battery. Use the plastic opening tool to gently press the battery connector back into place.
Install the back cover. Align the back cover with the phone's body and press it into place. Be sure to apply even pressure to the entire back cover.
Power on the phone. Once the phone is assembled, power it on to test the new outer screen.

Tips:
Be careful not to damage the phone's components when you are removing the outer screen.
If the adhesive is difficult to remove, you can use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften it.
