Huawei Phone Screen Replacement Tutorial: A Step-by-Step Guide252
Replacing the outer screen of a Huawei phone can be a daunting task, but it's actually quite simple if you follow the steps carefully. In this detailed guide, we'll walk you through the entire process, from removing the back cover to installing the new screen. Let's get started!
Step 1: Gather Your Tools
Before you begin, make sure you have the following tools:* A new Huawei phone outer screen
* A Phillips #000 screwdriver
* A spudger or plastic opening tool
* A suction cup
* A heat gun or hair dryer
Step 2: Remove the Back Cover
Turn off your phone and remove the SIM card tray. Use the Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the two screws at the bottom of the phone.
Gently pry up the back cover using the spudger or plastic opening tool. Be careful not to damage the fingerprint sensor cable attached to the back cover.
Step 3: Disconnect the Battery
Use the spudger to disconnect the battery connector. This will prevent any electrical damage while you're working on the phone.
Step 4: Remove the Motherboard
Use the Phillips #000 screwdriver to remove the three screws securing the motherboard.
Gently lift up the motherboard and disconnect the display connector. Be careful not to damage the connector pins.
Step 5: Heat the Screen
Use the heat gun or hair dryer to heat up the perimeter of the screen assembly. This will soften the adhesive holding the screen in place.
Step 6: Remove the Screen
Place the suction cup on the screen assembly and pull up gently. Use the spudger or plastic opening tool to cut through any remaining adhesive.
Be careful not to damage the flexible display underneath.
Step 7: Install the New Screen
Align the new screen assembly over the phone's frame. Press down firmly along the edges to secure it.
Reconnect the display connector to the motherboard.
Step 8: Reassemble the Phone
Secure the motherboard with the three screws.
Connect the battery and place the back cover back on.
Tighten the two screws at the bottom of the phone.
Step 9: Test the New Screen
Turn on your phone and test the new screen. Make sure it is fully functional, including the touch response and display quality.
Tips:* If you encounter any difficulties during the process, consult with a professional repair technician.
* Always handle the components of your phone with care to avoid damage.
* Be patient and take your time.
