DIY Cell Phone Stand Using Cardboard144

Materials:* Cardboard
* Ruler
* Pencil
* Scissors
* Glue
* Optional: Decorative materials (paper, fabric, paint)

Instructions:

Step 1: Measure and Cut the Base* Measure a rectangular piece of cardboard that is twice the width and height of your desired phone stand. For example, if you want a stand that measures 3 inches wide and 5 inches high, cut a cardboard piece that is 6 inches wide and 10 inches high.

Step 2: Create the Slot* On one short edge of the cardboard, measure and mark a line that is 1 inch from the bottom. Using a ruler and a pencil, carefully score the cardboard along this line, creating a crease.
* Fold the cardboard along the crease, forming the base of the phone stand.

Step 3: Cut the Support Wings* Measure and cut two rectangular pieces of cardboard that are the same width as the base (3 inches in this example). Each support wing should be about 5 inches high.
* Fold the support wings in half lengthwise, creating a crease.

Step 4: Attach the Support Wings* Apply glue to the insides of the support wings, where the crease is.
* Place the support wings on the inside of the base, aligning the creases with the edges of the slot. Press firmly to secure.

Step 5: Reinforce the Base* Optionally, you can reinforce the base by gluing a strip of cardboard along the outer edges. This will provide extra stability.

Step 6: Decorate (Optional)* If desired, you can decorate your phone stand using paper, fabric, or paint. Be creative and use your imagination!

Step 7: Insert Phone* Simply insert your phone into the slot at the front of the stand. The phone should rest securely on the support wings.

Tips:* You can adjust the size of the stand to fit any phone.
* Use thick cardboard for durability.
* Consider adding non-slip material to the bottom of the base to prevent it from sliding.
* If you have a larger phone, you may want to make the support wings taller.
* Personalize your stand by decorating it with your favorite colors, patterns, or designs.
