Materials:
18 gauge wire
24 gauge wire
Beads
Wire cutters
Round nose pliers
Chain nose pliers
Hammer
Anvil
Instructions:
Cut a piece of 18 gauge wire about 12 inches long. This will be the main wire for your pendant.
Create a loop at one end of the wire by bending the wire around a round nose pliers and then back on itself. Trim the excess wire.
String the beads onto the wire. You can use any type or size of beads that you like.
Once you have added all of the beads, create another loop at the other end of the wire. Trim the excess wire.
Cut a piece of 24 gauge wire about 6 inches long. This will be the wrapping wire.
Start wrapping the wrapping wire around the main wire, just below the loop at the top of the pendant. Wrap the wire tightly and evenly.
Continue wrapping the wire around the main wire, making sure to keep the wraps close together.
Once you have wrapped the wire around the main wire for about 1 inch, start to create loops with the wrapping wire. To create a loop, simply bend the wire up and over the main wire, and then back down again.
Continue creating loops with the wrapping wire until you have reached the bottom of the pendant.
Once you have reached the bottom of the pendant, trim the excess wrapping wire and tuck the end under the last loop.
Your wire wrapped pendant is now complete!
Tips:
If you want to make a larger pendant, simply use a longer piece of 18 gauge wire.
You can use any type or size of beads that you like.
