DIY Colorful Border Tutorial: How to Draw a Rainbow Frame Around Your Video121

Adding a colorful border to your videos can make them more visually appealing and engaging. It's a great way to add some personality to your videos and make them stand out from the crowd. In this tutorial, I'll show you how to create a rainbow border around your video using free software.

What You'll Need

To create a rainbow border around your video, you'll need the following:* A video editing program (I'm using OpenShot, but you can use any program you like)
* A copy of the ImageMagick software
* A command-line interface (CLI)

Step 1: Install ImageMagick

ImageMagick is a software suite that provides a wide range of image processing tools. It's available for free on most operating systems. To install ImageMagick, open a CLI and type the following command:```
sudo apt-get install imagemagick
```
Step 2: Create a Rainbow Gradient
The first step is to create a rainbow gradient. This will be the border around your video. You can create a rainbow gradient using any image editing software, but I'm going to use GIMP for this tutorial.
Open GIMP and create a new image with a transparent background. The width and height of the image should be the same as the width and height of your video.
Select the Gradient Tool from the Tools menu. In the Gradient Tool options, select the Linear Gradient type and choose the colors of the rainbow. You can use the following colors:* Red: #FF0000
* Orange: #FFA500
* Yellow: #FFFF00
* Green: #008000
* Blue: #0000FF
* Indigo: #4B0082
* Violet: #8B00FF
Click on the image and drag the mouse to create a gradient. The gradient should be vertical, with the red color at the top and the violet color at the bottom.
Save the gradient image as a PNG file.
Step 3: Create a Border Around the Video
Now that you have a rainbow gradient, you need to create a border around the video. You can do this using the OpenShot video editor.
Open OpenShot and import your video. Drag the video onto the timeline.
Right-click on the video and select "Properties". In the Properties window, click on the "Video" tab.
In the "Video" tab, scroll down to the "Border" section. Click on the "Browse" button and select the rainbow gradient image that you created in Step 2.
Set the "Border Width" to the desired width of the border. I recommend using a width of 10 pixels.
Click on the "OK" button to save your changes.
Step 4: Export the Video
Once you have created the border around the video, you need to export it. Click on the "File" menu and select "Export Video".
In the Export Video window, select the desired export format. I recommend using the MP4 format.
Click on the "Export Video" button to export the video.
Conclusion
That's it! You have now created a rainbow border around your video. You can use this technique to add a splash of color to your videos and make them more visually appealing.
