Materials:- Seed beads (size 6/0 or 8/0) in various colors
- Beading needle
- Beading thread (nymo or fireline)
- Scissors
- Lobster clasp
- Key ring
- Optional: beads for embellishment

Instructions:Step 1: Create the base
- Cut a length of beading thread approximately 1 yard long.
- String on 5 beads and slide them to the center of the thread.
- Cross the two ends of the thread and string on another bead.
- Continue crossing the threads and stringing on beads until you reach the desired width for the base of the pouch.
- Tie a knot to secure the threads.
Step 2: Begin beading the sides
- String on 2 beads and slide them to the end of one of the threads.
- Cross the threads and string on another bead.
- Continue crossing the threads and stringing on beads, working your way up the side of the pouch.
- Leave a gap of about 1 inch at the top for the closure.
Step 3: Change colors or patterns
- To change colors or patterns, simply break the thread at the end of the row and tie on a new thread with the desired beads.
- Continue beading up the side of the pouch, repeating step 2.
Step 4: Complete the sides
- Once you reach the top of the pouch, string on 5 beads and cross the threads.
- String on another bead and pull the threads tight.
- Tie a knot to secure the threads.
- Repeat for the other side of the pouch.
Step 5: Create the flap
- Cut a piece of thread about 6 inches long.
- String on a bead and slide it to the center of the thread.
- Cross the threads and string on another bead.
- Continue crossing the threads and stringing on beads until the flap is slightly wider than the pouch.
- Leave a gap of about 1 inch at the bottom for the closure.
Step 6: Attach the flap
- Align the flap with the top of the pouch and insert the threads through the gap between the top beads.
- Cross the threads and string on a bead.
- Continue crossing the threads and stringing on beads, working your way down the side of the flap.
- Leave a gap of about 1 inch at the top for the closure.
Step 7: Complete the flap
- Once you reach the bottom of the flap, string on 5 beads and cross the threads.
- String on another bead and pull the threads tight.
- Tie a knot to secure the threads.
Step 8: Add embellishments
- Optional: You can embellish the pouch with additional beads by sewing them on with a needle and thread.
- You can also add a tassel or charm to the lobster clasp.
Step 9: Attach the closure
- Open the lobster clasp and insert the loop at the top of the flap into one of the claws.
- Close the lobster clasp.
- Attach the key ring to the other claw of the lobster clasp.
