In this tutorial, you'll learn how to make a stylish and practical quilted phone sling bag. This bag is perfect for carrying your phone, keys, and other small essentials. It's also a great way to use up fabric scraps. The finished size of the bag is approximately 6 inches wide by 8 inches tall.

Materials
¼ yard of outer fabric
¼ yard of lining fabric
¼ yard of batting
1 yard of 1-inch wide webbing
1 magnetic snap
Coordinating thread

Instructions

1. Cut the fabric
From the outer fabric, cut two pieces that are 8 inches wide by 10 inches tall.
From the lining fabric, cut two pieces that are 8 inches wide by 10 inches tall.
From the batting, cut one piece that is 8 inches wide by 10 inches tall.

2. Assemble the quilt sandwich
Place one piece of the outer fabric right side up on a flat surface.
Place the batting on top of the outer fabric.
Place the remaining piece of the outer fabric right side down on top of the batting.

3. Quilt the layers together
Sew around the edges of the quilt sandwich, using a ¼-inch seam allowance. Leave an opening for turning.
Quilt the layers together by sewing straight lines or free-motion quilting.

4. Sew the lining pieces together
Place the two pieces of the lining fabric right sides together.
Sew around the edges of the lining fabric, using a ¼-inch seam allowance. Leave an opening for turning.

5. Turn the bag right side out
Turn the bag right side out through the opening in the lining.
Press the bag flat.

6. Topstitch the bag
Topstitch around the edges of the bag, using a ¼-inch seam allowance.
This will help to secure the lining to the outer fabric.

7. Attach the webbing
Cut two pieces of webbing that are each 24 inches long.
Fold one end of each piece of webbing over by 1 inch and press.
Stitch the folded end of the webbing to the inside of the bag, 2 inches from the top edge.
Repeat with the other piece of webbing on the other side of the bag.

8. Attach the magnetic snap
Attach one half of the magnetic snap to the inside of the bag, 2 inches from the top edge.
Attach the other half of the magnetic snap to the outside of the bag, directly opposite the first half.
